Pay with a virtual card before the physical card arrives

You can start using your card as soon as you open an account. The card number, security details and activation can be found in the ČSOB Smart app. Then add the card to your Apple Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay or Xiaomi Pay digital wallet. Once you’ve done that, you will be able to use your mobile phone and watch to pay online and in stores, or even withdraw cash from contactless ATMs.

How to get a payment card and PIN

We will send you a plastic card (if you have requested one) by post within 10 days. You will receive a text message from us when it is sent for dispatch.

You will find the PIN that goes with your card pre-set in ČSOB Smart or Internet Banking. It won’t cost you any money to change the PIN as you please. Where can I find my PIN and how do I change it?

  1. Log in to ČSOB Smart or Internet Banking
  2. Go to the credit card menu and view your PIN
  3. Remember your PIN (don't share it with anyone – we will never ask for your PIN)
  4. Simply change your PIN at any of our ATMs

Online payments

With our card you can shop online with ease; all you need to do is enable online payments. It goes without saying, security is a priority for us.

  • Online payments can be enabled in ČSOB Smart or Internet Banking (see the payment cards menu).
  • You can set the maximum payment amount for goods purchased online. Online payments are added to your payment card's total weekly limit.
  • Online payments are secured with the 3D Secure technology. The merchant won’t get access to any of your data as a result of a transaction and you can always confirm each payment by simply using the ČSOB Smart Key or by copying the SMS code and entering your ePIN. You can set up your ePin in Internet Banking or at our ATMs.

Prudence is not important only for online payments. Follow the recommended security guidelines even when paying with your physical card in store or withdrawing money from ATMs.
