To set up the account, you will need your child’s birth certificate and their ID card if your child has reached the age of 15.

How is the account set up?

Setting up the account online

If you have ČSOB internet banking, the child account is set up 100% online:

Fill in a short online form with personal data.
Scan the child's birth certificate, or their ID card if they have reached the age of 15.
Within 3 days, you will receive a call from a courier who will bring you a contract to sign. The courier will also check your proof of ID as well as all of the documents listed above.

Setting up the account over the phone

Leave us your number or call the toll-free number +420 495 300 300. You will fill in the application over the phone with our operator.
Make sure you have your child's birth certificate or their ID card (if they have reached the age of 15) at hand.
Within 3 days, you will receive a call from a courier who will bring you a contract to sign. The courier will also check your proof of ID as well as all of the documents listed above.

Setting up the account at a branch

Make sure to bring your ID card and your child's birth certificate with you. And if the child has reached the age of 15, also bring their ID card.

How the current account for children works: from birth to adulthood

You and your child will be able to view the balance and payment history at any time in your internet banking and in the ČSOB Smart application.

From the age of 8, we provide a payment card, featuring an image of the child’s own choice. Weekly limit: CZK 500 up to 15 years of age, CZK 2,000 up to 18 years of age. *

15+

From the age of 15, the child may enter payment orders, pay with their mobile phone and smart watch using Apple Pay, Google Pay and Garmin Pay.

18+

As a parent, you will have access to the account up until the child turns 18. Then, the account is converted into the standard Plus Konto.

* You may adjust the card limits at any time over the phone at +420 495 300 300 or at a branch. If you have set up an account for your child without them present, using their birth certificate, and if you want to increase the limits, under the new laws we are required to verify the child’s identity.
