Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)y
Am I eligible for activity rewards?
Activity rewards are for our active clients. Whether you’re active or not, just ask Kate, the virtual assistant in Smart.
What does it mean to be active?
"Active" means you use our services. You receive income through us and make payments with our card.
If you are between 18 and 26 years old, all you need to do is make 5 card payments per month.
If you’re 27 or older, in addition to making 5 card payments per month, you need to have at least CZK 15,000 deposited into your account each month.
The benefits for being active will become available to you the following month after you meet the conditions.
What counts toward card payments?
We track 5 card transactions per calendar month, including both debit and credit cards. All card payments made at merchants or through online purchases are counted. If a client has an authorized user on their account, that user’s payments are also counted.
The following are not considered Card Payments: cash withdrawals and deposits or other transactions performed at ATMs, cash withdrawals via the CashBack service, topping up prepaid services (e.g., at ATMs or elsewhere), or cash withdrawals and deposits or payment orders placed at the Czech Post.
What counts as income?
We require a minimum monthly income of CZK 15,000. This refers to the total sum of all credit income, i.e., the sum of all funds credited to the Client’s accounts maintained under the ČSOB/PS brand, which for these purposes means a checking account, savings account, or time deposit account, including accrued interest, all within the relevant calendar month. For accounts in foreign currency, the Czech National Bank’s mid-market exchange rate is used to convert the amount of funds.
The following are not included in Income: funds transferred between the Client’s accounts maintained under the ČSOB/PS brand; funds that were credited to the Client’s accounts maintained under the ČSOB/PS brand during the relevant calendar month and subsequently returned to the account from which they were transferred; and conversely, funds withdrawn in cash from the Client’s accounts maintained under the ČSOB/PS brand and subsequently deposited back into the Client’s accounts maintained under the ČSOB/PS brand in the relevant calendar month.
If I have multiple accounts, does the income count from all of them or just one of my accounts?
Your income is calculated by adding up the balances from all the accounts you hold with us.
Does income from my foreign currency account count as well?
Yes, it does.
What if I stop being active? Will I lose my benefits?
It depends on the terms and conditions for each product.
Where can I find information about my activity? (Is it only available in the ČSOB Smart app?)
If you're active, just ask Kate and she'll tell you.
What if I deposit money at an ATM or at a teller window? Does that count as income too?
We count cash deposits as income toward meeting the Activity Rewards requirements. Speculative withdrawals and deposits do not count.
