You can get your newly arranged Internet Risk Insurance free of charge for up to six months. All you need is to have a current account with our bank where at least CZK 15,000 per month is credited, and to pay at least 5 times monthly with your card.

Frequently asked questions
What does online shopping insurance cover?
We can help you if something goes wrong – perhaps your new monitor arrives with a scratch or you buy a tour and the travel agency stops communicating.
The most important things you need to know:
- the insurance covers purchases of new items and selected services costing more than CZK 650,
- if we fail to arrange a remedy, you will receive the amount you have lost (up to CZK 50,000); we will refund the price including VAT,
- the insurance does not cover the purchase of “second-hand” goods through Aukro, Vinted, Bazoš.cz, Sbazar, etc.
What is covered by payment card misuse insurance?
The insurance will help you if someone steals your payment card and uses it to withdraw money from an ATM or pay in a shop. And it does not matter if you have a physical card or an electronic/digital one in your mobile phone. We will help you get your money back or pay you compensation up to a limit of CZK 50,000.
How will Internet Risk Insurance protect me if my personal data is misused online?
Hacked Internet Banking, a fake loan in your name – unfortunately, these things happen. If you become a victim of a scammer, we will help you and reimburse the damage up to CZK 250,000. So you can sleep in peace.
The insurance does not cover cases where you hand over or forward money to a scammer of your own volition, or where you knowingly install a remote access app and let a thief into your Banking.

What is covered by the insurance against damage to reputation on the Internet and social media?
Anything can be put into writing, which is all the more true on the Internet. That is why we will help you if someone tries to damage your reputation online. We will prevent the further spread of rumours and lies, we will try to remove the untruths, find the culprit and secure an apology from them.
We do not pay financial compensation in this type of insurance. However, we will spend up to CZK 50,000 on the work necessary to protect your reputation.
What can I use IT assistance for?
When your technology rebels, we will help you get it under control over the phone. You can call us in the following cases, for example:
- you need help when installing your computer or printer,
- a new mobile phone or tablet will not start up,
- your smart TV is on strike,
- your web browser or email box reports an error,
- you seem to be unable to install a program – e.g. antivirus.
You can use our IT assistance up to four times a year for 30 minutes each time.
Who can take out insurance and who is the insured?
You can take out insurance if you have a current account with us and you are at least 18 years old. Other people living in the same household as you are then also insured. Permanent residence does not matter.
How will I pay for the insurance and how long does it last?
Payment for insurance is automatic, so you do not have to worry about anything. The amount will be debited from your account in the middle of each month.
The insurance is taken out for an indefinite period of time. If you no longer want the insurance, you can cancel it at any time, free of charge, directly in the ČSOB Smart application. It will then expire at the end of the month. If you cancel your insurance on, say, 11 June, it will expire on 30 June.
