Long-Term Investment Product

Long-Term Investment Product (LTIP)

Invest for old age on your own terms with tax relief and a contribution from your employer. An alternative to pension savings.

Save on tax
You can deduct up to CZK 48,000 a year from your tax base and save up to CZK 7,200.
You are not alone
Your employer can also contribute, which can reduce the employer’s tax base by up to CZK 50,000 a year.
Choose your strategy
You can compose your investment portfolio of mutual funds of your own choice.

The investment value can fluctuate, and the return is not guaranteed. The content herein cannot be interpreted as the provision of investment advice or another investment service. If you make an investment under the LTIP, i.e., if you purchase securities, such securities are not a deposit and are not insured under the Deposit Insurance Fund.

Long-term investment

This is pension security, so you can only withdraw the money at the age of 60 after you have been investing for at least 10 years before that. Otherwise, you will lose all tax benefits (you will have to pay the tax retrospectively).

Long-term and short-term effects

Any money you send to your LTIP account, as well as any return on the investment, must remain in the account until it is closed. You cannot withdraw anything from it. However, thanks to the tax relief, you can have CZK 7,200 “in your pocket” every year (if you send CZK 4,000 per month to the LTIP account or make a one-off deposit of CZK 48,000 per year).

You can also have the LTIP in Patria

In the ČSOB Group we also have a proven share trader – Patria Finance. You can do everything online and invest directly in shares, ETFs and other instruments.

You don’t get any money from the State with the LTIP, but you can invest entirely at your discretion.

What can I expect if I make an appointment at a branch?

If you are already investing with us and have the necessary documents in place, setting up an LTIP account will be a matter of moments.

If you are not yet investing with us, we recommend that you enter into an Investment Services Agreement and complete our investment questionnaire at a branch. It is not complicated. The banker will also introduce you to the Investment Portal, where you can manage your LTIP investments online.

Is it possible to change the fund I am investing in under the LTIP?

Yes, you can easily change the fund under the LTIP by so-called transfer. This means that you simply sell the unit certificates of the old fund and buy unit certificates of the new one. No terms and conditions will be violated and the LTIP will go on as before.

You can deduct up to CZK 48,000 a year from your tax base for the LTIP, pension products, life insurance and long-term care insurance combined.

If your employer sends your contribution together with his contribution, he needs do add also specific symbol 7777777777 to your contribution. The contribution of the employer stays without any specific symbol.

Can I terminate my LTIP before I turn 60?
