In addition to our annual travel insurance, which is worthwhile for most people who travel more than once a year, we now add two extra benefits: 1.5% on card payments paid in foreign currencies + free debit card withdrawals from foreign ATMs (when withdrawing over CZK 1,500 in foreign currency). Both benefits apply to cards for accounts in CZK.

Good to know
- You can collect rewards on current accounts in Czech crowns and on a credit card from ČSOB. Business and other accounts are not covered by the ČSOB Na cesty package.
- The discount applies to all cards for your current or credit card accounts with us. No matter how many accounts you have, you can get a maximum of CZK 3,000 in total.
- You will not earn rewards on card payments with card issued to foreign currency accounts. Also, free withdrawals are only valid for accounts in CZK.
- We'll send the reward to the account from which the payment was done. It will be sent in the month following the payment itself.
- Once the travel insurance for your card ends, you stop receiving benefits. However, you can reactivate the package once you have re-arranged (prolonged) the insurance.
Exceptions - what is not covered by ČSOB Na cesty benefits
- Cash Advance or CashBack payments, sending money between cards, online betting, gaming, topping up prepaid services and accounts.
- Card payments made with different apps or with cards like CURVE, Revolut, etc.
- Withdrawals and purchases converted into Czech crowns at the seller's exchange rate (DCC - Dynamic Currency Conversion).
- Free withdrawals do not apply to credit cards, only to debit card withdrawals with card issued to accounts denominated in CZK.
Frequently asked questions
Are credit card withdrawals abroad also free?
Free foreign withdrawals apply to debit cards issued to accounts in CZK only. We have long recommended credit cards for payments, not withdrawals.
Will my partner who I have issued a card for also get a reward?
Yes, the benefit applies to all cards issued to your current accounts or credit cards from ČSOB, event if the card holder is different from you.
Do I get a reward if I pay in a Czech e-shop in a foreign currency?
You will receive the benefit because the payment was made in a foreign currency.
Is there another way to activate the CSOB Na cesty service?
There is no other way, the service can only be activated in the ČSOB DoKapsy app.
Will I get a reward even if I made a card payment abroad in Czech crowns?
You won't. You will only receive a reward for card payments or free cash (debit card) withdrawals made in a foreign currency. We therefore recommend that you reject the merchant's exchange rate, the so-called dynamic currency conversion (DCC), when making payments or withdrawals.
I have more than one account and card, which ones are eligible for the discount?
You collect the 1.5% cash back reward with all current accounts and credit cards held with us. Including, for example, your partner's card issued to your account (in the case you activated the ČSOB Na cesty service).
Is there a minimum cash withdrawal to get it free abroad?
Yes, there is a minimum debit card withdrawal of the equivalent of CZK 1,500.
When do I get my reward?
We'll credit you with 1.5% of your payments in the month following the payment. The maximum total reward is CZK 3,000.
Do I have more than one account to which you will credit my reward?
The reward will always be credited to the account from which the rewarded payments were made.
I have activated CSOB Na cesty service, but I do not yet have travel insurance for my card. What should I do?
You have 7 calendar days to arrange travel insurance for your card. You are already entitled to all benefits during this period. However, these will be forfeited if you do not arrange insurance in time.
Will I get the benefits even if I don't have travel insurance for the whole year with my card, but only individual short-term travel insurance for the duration of my holiday?
No, you must have annual travel insurance for the card from ČSOB to get the benefit.
Will I get a reward for paying with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Garmin Pay?
Yes, mobile or smartwatch payments are rewarded. On the other hand, payments with services such as Revolut or CURVE Card are not rewarded because you are not actually paying with your CSOB card.
My card with linked travel insurance is expiring soon. Will this affect the use of rewards?
Unless you have asked us for a different setting, you will soon receive a new card as a replacement for the one due to expire. You will continue to earn rewards with the new card – you don't have to do anything.Unless you've asked us for a different setup, you'll soon get a new card to replace the soon-to-expire one. Will I get rewards for paying through DCC? What is DCC - Dynamic Currency Conversion?
No. Dynamic Currency Conversion, or DCC, is a service you'll recognize by being offered an instant conversion to Czech crowns on the ATM display or payment terminal from the merchant. However, the exchange rate they offer you will most likely be unfavourable. It is therefore usually preferable to withdraw an amount that is not in Czech crowns but in the local currency.
Can I get rewards for payments made with cards issued to my account in a foreign currency?
The reward is calculated on card payments issued to accounts in CZK.
