What is Smart Key
Each time you log into our online banking or make an online card payment, the ČSOB Smart Key mobile app checks that it is really you. Unlike the outdated SMS codes, transaction confirmation with Smart Key is not only faster and more convenient but also completely secure. One of the features that make Smart Key secure is the encryption of data transmitted between the app and the bank, protecting Smart Key against eavesdropping.

Smart Key may sometimes be unavailable for scheduled maintenance or unforeseen events. Or your mobile phone may crash and the app will not run. For this reason, we recommend setting up the ePIN, which supports online card payments even without Smart Key.
