We will make your transfer to CSOB easy

If you still don’t have an account with CSOB, our advisors will help you to choose the best product for your needs:

  • choose any branch of CSOB,
  • bring your valid ID document to the meeting,
  • think of the services you are going to use,
  • complete the Application for a change of bank, if you are changing your bank to handle your personal finances and your original bank has acceded to the Codex of Client Mobility.

CSOB has already acceded to the Codex of Client Mobility, therefore, it will pass your Application for a change of bank to your previous bank on your behalf. All you have to do is fill-in:

  • the number of the current account at CSOB,
  • the number of the current account at the original bank (incl. bank code),
  • the date of stopping standing payment orders and collection consents at the original bank,
  • the date of setting-up standing payment orders and collection consents at CSOB,
  • an indication of whether you wish the list of standing payments from the original bank to be sent to your correspondence address indicated by the original bank,
  • an indication of whether you wish to close your account at the original bank.

If you change your bank, you will not be charged any fees for the delivered information or for the materials necessary to transfer standing payment orders and collection consents.

Tip Do you want to close several current accounts at your original bank? Then fill-in a separate Application for a change of the bank for each of them.

What else should you know?

The process cannot be accomplished using the Application for a change of the bank in all cases:

  • there are differences in payments-related products and services provided by individual banks,
  • the conditions of the original bank for closing the account are not met (e.g., payment card is not returned etc.).

We will help you

Has your original bank not yet acceded to the Codex of Client Mobility? Our advisors will help you to change bank easily and without complications.

It is easy

To open an account and transfer payments, bring the following documents to a meeting at your CSOB branch:

  • ID card,
  • 3 latest statements of the old account,
  • a list of regular payments (incl. payments with longer-term maturities – quarterly, semi-annual, yearly maturities),
  • SIPO connection number,
  • you need to have the numbers of the accounts, the names and addresses of all collection companies (mobile operators, energy companies, insurance companies etc.), incl. your customer numbers, numbers of insurance contracts etc. for collection consents from the account.

How to change

Standing order

  • simply, cancel your old orders at your original bank,
  • establish new orders, free of charge, in the CSOB Electronic banking service or at your CSOB branch. You need to know:
    • the amount of regular payments,
    • due dates,
    • frequency,
    • the beneficiary’s account number,
    • variable and specific symbols, if needed.

Collection and SIPO

  1. establish a new collection consent or SIPO, free of charge, in the CSOB Electronic banking service or at your CSOB branch. You need to know:
    • the beneficiary’s account number,
    • SIPO connection number,
    • reference and telephone number for a collection consent of payments for fixed-line services to Telefónica O2,
    • limit the maximum amount collected by stating a payments limit for the relevant period (the period of SIPO is automatically one month),
  2. gather all invoices (that you paid by collection), contact the provider of the service and inform them about your new bank (you should find your customer number, customer account number or variable symbol in the invoices for identification),
  3. you can report the change in your bank:
    • by phone (the tel. number of the company is on the invoice) – tell them about the change in the method of making payments and about your new bank (account number and bank code),
    • by post – fill-in the attachment to the invoice and send it to the address of the company,
    • by Internet – a number of companies have high-quality websites through which you can change your bank,
    • personally – the most laborious method in terms of time and money.

Tip All you have to do is establish your collection consent of payments for fixed-line services to the credit of Telefónica O2 or SIPO at CSOB. We will automatically announce the change to both ceská pošta and Telefónica O2 for you.

We recommend you to

  • not to forget to tell your employer, business partners, state institutions, collection companies and your friends about your new account number,
  • keep enough money in your old account to pay still applicable standing orders, collections and SIPO (and possibly for fees for stopping regular payments),
  • cancel your payment card for your old account only when you get a payment card for your new account with CSOB, to which account payments are coming or to which you have moved money from your old account,
  • keep the statements of the current account at your previous bank for the generally applicable statute-barred period (4 years),
  • if you are interested in other services that you used in your previous bank, please inquire about our services when you visit a CSOB branch.
