CSOB Term Deposit

A deposit account for those who want to make a secure one-time deposit preferably for a longer time period (for a shorter period a CSOB Savings Account is better). Interest income is higher than from a classic current account.

Benefits

The account has a higher interest rate than a current account. Other advantages include:

yield known in advance,
free account maintenance (inc. sending account statements),
secure fund depositing,
automatic deposit renewal,
electronic banking control option (withdrawals and setting automatic renewal),
account available in foreign currencies.

If you have a current account at CSOB you can set up free automatic functions for the maturity date:

the amount you want to keep in the current account – on the due date funds are transferred between accounts (so that the limit is maintained in the current account) and then the time deposit is renewed for a new amount,
the amount transferred on the due date from the current account to the time deposit account or vice versa – the deposit is then renewed for the respective amount.

Time deposit account:

deposit duration from 7 days to 1 year,
denomination both in CZK and foreign currencies (USD, EUR, CHF or GBP),
the interest rate depends on the deposit period and the amount invested,
interest can be transferred to a current account at ČSOB or left in the account thus increasing the amount bearing interest.

Terms

It is usually enough to submit a document to establish a savings account:

a Czech national (CR) – identity card,
a foreigner – passport or other documents as ČSOB may require.
