Do your offer students’ loans?

We do not offer any special students’ loans at present. However, you can use the CSOB Loan for Anything under standard terms and conditions.



What are the basic terms and conditions for CSOB Loan provision?

CSOB Loans are basically provided to Czech and Slovak nationals who:


  • have an income in CR (foreigners and individuals with income from abroad are assessed individually by the bank’s credit department),
  • are over 18 and no older than 67 when the final repayment of the loan is considered,
  • have been or are going to become CSOB clients (establishing an account) no later than on the day of signing the loan agreement,
  • prove their credibility and repayment ability (credit scoring – financial situation stability assessment).

Which documents do I need to apply for a CSOB Loan and how long does the application take to process?

If you submit all the necessary documents the application processing takes 30 minutes. Then you leave with a loan to draw. You must present two ID documents, for example your ID card + passport, health insurance card, birth certificate, driving licence, to prove your identity.


The applicant’s income and, possibly, also the co-applicants' and guarantors' income is to be proven:


For income from employment:


  • if your income has been directed to CSOB for at least 3 months we do not require any proof of income
  • if your income has been directed to another bank you will need a confirmation from your employer on the average amount of your monthly income in the last 3 months on the bank's form (name, address, birth number, status, employed since and in which position, indefinite or definite term of employment, amount of income) and your last current account statement
  • if your income is paid in cash you need a confirmation from your employer on the average amount of your monthly income in the last 3 months on the bank's form (name, address, birth number, status, employed since and in which position, indefinite or definite term of employment, amount of income), your last 3 pay slips and the last current document on a regular (applicant's, co-applicant's) household expenses, e.g. utility bill, telephone bill etc.

For income from employment by multiple employers:


  • by your tax return for natural entity income tax for the last calendar year and a receipt for payment of the income tax

For income from enterprising/self-employment:


  • by your tax return for natural entity income tax for the last calendar year and a receipt for payment of the income tax.

What are the basic prerequisites for the provision of permitted overdraft with a current account for private use?

The service is basically provided to individuals who:


  • have income from CR,
  • are over 18 and under 66 when filing the application for overdraft,
  • have been or are going to become CSOB clients (establishing an account) no later than on the day of signing the overdraft agreement,
  • prove their credibility and repayment ability (credit scoring – financial situation stability assessment).

What documents do I need for to apply for permitted overdraft with a current account for private use?

To prove your identity you must present a combination of two documents, those being Czech national: your ID card + passport, driving licence, health insurance card, birth certificate, or student’s ID (or military ID + birth certificate).


EU national: travel ID document (passport or national identification card) + passport or national identification card or driving licence or residency card

others: passport + another ID document issued by the state


The applicant’s income and, possibly, also the co-applicants' income is to be proven:


For income from employment:


  • if your income has been directed to CSOB for at least 3 months we do not require any proof of income

What is the interest rate on CSOB Loan for Everything?

At present, the interest rate for the CSOB Loan for Anything for an existing client (i.e. a client with a current account with CSOB for more than 6 months) amounts to 10.9 % p. a. while for a new client (i.e. a non-client or a client with a current account with CSOB for less than 6 months) amounts to 13.9% p. a.



What is the repayment period for CSOB Loans?

The repayment term depends on the type of loan you choose. For the CSOB Loan for Anything, the repayment term extends up to 7 years while for the CSOB Better Housing Loan the repayment term is up to 10 years.



I have taken a CSOB Loan for Anything and now I would like to refurbish my apartment. Can I take a CSOB Better Housing Loan?

Of course you can take out multiple loans; it depends on your income and security options. You can learn about specific possibilities at your CSOB branch.



Can I repay the loan I have from you prematurely if I receive a large sum of money unexpectedly?

Yes, you can repay CSOB Loans prematurely at any time.
