Which card may I use to pay via Internet?For this purpose CSOB allows payers to make payments by embossed cards MasterCard or Visa, or Diners Club as the case may be. As for non-embossed, the so-called electronic cards, Visa Electron cards are intended for Internet payments. Neither Maestro are to be used for Internet payments. Furthermore, it depends on particular sellers which cards they accept. The most frequently accepted payment cards are those issued by Visa and MasterCard companies.
Where can I find out the amount of the limit on my bank card?You were told the amount of the limit when you received your bank card; it is also stated in the Confirmation of Receipt of Bank Card, which you also received. If necessary you can find this out by visiting your home branch.
What kinds of insurance can I set up with my bank card?With embossed bank cards and electronic cards of Visa Electron type you can set up card insurance for travel abroad (which includes medical expenses as well as assistant services, liability for damages to health and property, possibly accident insurance). Also, bank card abuse insurance and D.A.S. Insurance = insurance for legal protection for drivers of motor vehicles.
What are the terms and conditions for using the bank card’s interest-free period?If the client always pays the regularly withdrawn amount on the day of payment he will have an interest-free period for the entire term. If he does not always pay the entire amount the interest-free term may be for up to 45 days at the beginning or during the course of the use of the card – if the client pays the whole withdrawn amount shown on the statement for the month in question.
Where can I find my PIN if I forget it? Is there a fee for it? In such a case you must go to your home branch and fill out a Request for Reissuing a PIN - the form on these pages is in Czech. A fee is charged for reissuing a PIN according to the valid CSOB Pricelist.
How can I withdraw money from ATM abroad?During withdrawal from an ATM in a foreign country only an ordinary account, i.e. current account or checking account, has to be chosen from the menu on the introductory screen.
