The company was established in 1995 as a part of Patria Finance Group, and as early as since its establishing it has been one of the leading assets administrators in the Czech Republic. Since 2000 it has been a part of KBC group as CSOB, which joined KBC group in 1999. In 2002 CSOB became 20% shareholder of the company and in relation to this step most voting rights of Patria Finance shareholder have been transferred to CSOB and also the trade name of the company changed. In 2004 CSOB Asset Management, a.s. became the owner of CSOB investicni spolecnost, a.s., which means the completion of the consolidation process of the financial assets administration within the CSOB group. The goal of the company in the area of portfolio management is to provide highly individual services and complex services to private investors and legal persons.
CSOB Asset Management - the leading assets administrator in the Czech Republic - provides its investment services of securities custody to its clients. The total amount of administered assets was over CZK 135 billion on December 31, 2006. Under available data it corresponds to the 25 per cent share in the Czech market. Currently, company clients include insurance companies, pension funds, cities and communities, commercial, manufacturing and electricity companies, trade unions, foundations and other non-profit organizations as well as natural persons. Upon acquiring and servicing their clients CSOB Asset Management cooperates with branches and client departments of CSOB. The institutional clients of CSOB Asset Management include also some subjects from CSOB group such as CSOB Pojistovna, CSOB Penzijni fond Stabilita and CSOB Penzijni fond Progres. Also the investment consulting in relation to the selected CZK funds of KBC group is the important part of CSOB Asset Management activities. For 2005 CSOB Asset management plans to maintain its market share, namely by means of using the synergic effects between activities of the administration of individual portfolios and the administration of assets in the shares fund.
