Foreign Exchange Swap

Transactions intended for clientele who need to exchange available foreign money from one currency to another and back (for the purpose of making payments abroad, for purposes of domestic crown payments, etc).

Benefits

The transactions are used to resolve current incongruities between foreign exchange needs and available funds.

Other merits include:

  • overcoming temporary shortage of liquidity in one currency amid a surplus of liquidity in another currency, for example on the day of payment of a forward transaction the collection does not come through from the foreign client.
  • hedging foreign money against unfavourable fluctuations of rates.

Get Acquainted

A combination of spot and forward transactions results in the purchase of one currency for a spot rate and the sale of the same currency for a forward rate or vice versa. The calculation is based on the same spot base (the margin between the purchase and the sale is not applied here) and interest rates on the interbank market.

Terms of Use

These transactions can be used if you have a current account in our bank. The minimum amount for swap transactions is the equivalent of 10 000 EUR.

The following is required for the transaction:

  • the conclusion of a general agreement for foreign exchange forward transactions,
  • the limit for the transaction must be set and approved.
